In his ethical theory (in The Nicomachean Ethics), Aristotle attempts to describe what a naive livelihood would be like. His finish is to describe what the straightforward disembodied spirit-time for human organisms amounts to. This theory is different because he explains what would ferment us happy (theory of the bang-up) instead of the right action to do (theory of the right). In this theory, he first considers what does it mean to say well-nighthing is advanced. He says whateverthing is total when it is able to optimally perform the task that is specific to it. (A best hammer optimally drives nails into wood.) Aristotle believes that living things and inanimate objects are goal-oriented objects. And deuce inanimate objects and living things have a natural trudge to do things that they are made to do. So Aristotle believed that reasoning is a function that distinguishes human organisms from other beings. And that a human being who is able to perform that f unction well will encipher as a skilful human being. Everything we do is make for some purpose. Some of these purposes though are themselves just think to an displace, e.g. we exercise to get in shape and we get in shape because we penury to look good on the fence and we want to look good on the beach so that....etc.

If every end were just a means to some other end, though, then at that place would really be no end or purpose to all that we do. If there is no last point (end or purpose) to everything we do, then in the long run there is no point to anything we do. That can non be right, Aristotle thi nks. So there moldiness be at least oneness! end that is not a means but is an end in itself. This is the ultimate point of life, and Aristotle sets out to find and coif it. What is this ultimate goal? Happiness (or eudaimonia, literally a good life), slightly much everyone agrees. further people resist about what consecutive happiness is. Most think it is cheer, oddly physical pleasure. But cant we do better than this? A life with no good in it except physical pleasure seems fit for an animal,...If you want to get a full essay, severalize it on our website:
